It finally happened on Sunday 20th of November. We, Pili from Kooking & Elwira from Comfydays, organised our own small event in my kitchen. Our objective was obviously to cook, have fun, share recipes, talk, laugh and finally delight our friends who came over to eat. We would have loved to invite many more friends but due to the limited space in my house, it was impossible. Let alone the fact that cooking for 20 or 40 could have been a challenge. But we love challenges, so who knows…

We had been talking about it for a long time, and finally set a date and made it happened.

I prepared my kitchen, moved around the dinning table and sofa to accommodate a table for 12 and then Pili & Elwira came in the morning to start cooking. 4hrs of preparation in my kitchen and a few things were done the day before also by each one of us.

Our friends loved it (they said it!) and we were very happy to have done it. It isn’t necessary to mention that all the food was handmade!

There are my recipes:

 Romero lemonade:                                                                                            

  • 5l of mineral water
  • 4 lemons
  • 2 orange
  • 1 big sprigs of rosemary
  • 2 table spoon of honey


  • Start by boiling about half of the water with the rosemary and the zest of 1 lemon
  • Meanwhile, extract the lemon & orange juice
  • In a large jar, put the rest of the mineral water with the juices
  • After 40mn, add the honey and stop the heat.
  • Poor the boiled flavoured water and mix well altogether. Add ice to serve cold


  • 85g of butter
  • 250g of biscuits (I choose the Ikea ginger biscuits)
  • 400g of philadelphia cheese
  • 3 greek yogurt
  • 1 egg yolk + 3 eggs
  • 100g of sugar
  • Extracto de vanilla
  • Marmelade (I took the cranberries Ikea marmalade)



  1. Start by crushing the biscuits in your food processor and add the melted butter
  2. Take a round baking tray and put the biscuits paste and press evenly to form the base of your cheesecake
  3. Bake for 10mn at 180°C
  4. Meanwhile mix the Philadelphia and yogurt
  5. Add the sugar & eggs, mix well and add the vanilla
  6. Spread the batter over the crust base
  7. Bake 20mn at 200°C, then 40mn at 180°
  8. After the baking process, open the oven door and leave the cheesecake around 1hr inside the oven
  9. Finally remove it from the oven and let cool completely before putting in the fridge
  10. After 2hrs, spread the fruit jam on top.
  11. Remove from the fridge 1 to 2hrs before serving

 Pumpkin & trumpets of death risotto  :                                                             

  • For 12 small glasses
  • 3 glass of rice
  • 200g of pumpkin
  • 150g of trumpets mushroom
  • 1l of vegetables broth (homemade or not)
  • Olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 glass of white wine
  • 25g of butter
  • 60g of parmesan cheese


  1. Best is to make your own broth, it really isn’t difficult and have many way of doing it
  2. If you do it yourself, you can refer to past recipes but in general i would put 3l of water, 3 carrots, Leak, celery, onion, salt, pepper, turnip, laurel leave and let it cook 1hr. You can add any peace of meat inside to give more taste, like a chicken or bones from other meat
  3. Mince the shallots, pumpkins and onion. Clean the mushrooms
  4. In your Le Creuset pan, fry the shallots & the pumpkin and after 10mn add the mushrooms, cook for an other 5mn
  5. Remove the pumpkin & mushroom, add bit of olive oil and stir in the onion
  6. Add the rice and stir without stopping for 2mn until the rice starts to change color
  7. Add the white wine
  8. Once fully evaporated, add some broth and stir in the rice until fully absorbed.
  9. Then continue to add and stir until you have the prefect rice texture. (before you add the last part of the broth put back the mushrooms & pumpkin to give some additional taste
  10. I like the rice still slightly firm rather than sticky.
  11. Add a spoon of butter and parmesan, stir in and serve



  • 400g of wheat couscous or bulgur (better but i didn’t have this time)
  • 3 big lemons
  • 20cl of water
  • 25cl of olive oil
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 green pepper and 1/2 red pepper
  • Fresh parsley, peppermint, coriander (quantities depending on taste)
  • 1 shallots
  • Salt, black pepper


  • Extract the juice of the lemons and mix with the water
  • In a large bowl, put the couscous or bulgur and add the lemons & water
  • Mix well and let rest in the fridge
  • Meanwhile, chop small the tomatoes, cucumber, shallot, peppers and herbs
  • Add to the couscous the vegetables that you chopped and the olive oil
  • Cover with kitchen plastic film and reserve in the fridge at least 4hrs so that all the flavours spread well and your grain of wheat triple in size.
  • If it looks too dry and not soft enough, you can add a bit of water or lemon juice


 The juices                                                                                          

  1. GREEN: 4 green apples, 2 celery branch, 1/4 green melon (you can add 1 lime optional)
  2. RED: 200g of blueberries, 4 carrots, 3 red apple
  3. ORANGE: 2 mangos, 1/2 green melon, 2 oranges

  • For each juice, just extract the juice using a cold press juicer. Serve fresh with ice.
